IntelliObjects Presents at JavaOne 2006

Ernie Svehla, Chief Architect of IntelliObjects presented at this years JavaOne Conference, which was held the week of May 15th - May 19th in San Francisco at the Moscone Center.

Ernie's presentation was a Birds of a Feather (BOF-0158) titled "Java Enterprise Edition Class Loading Architectures". There were a total of 369 registered attendees for the presentation. Survey feedback provided very high reviews of the presentation.

The presentation reviewed Java 2 Class Loading Basics, Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) Class Loading, compared the class loading architectures of the Sun Application Server 9, BEA WebLogic 9.1, and JBoss 4.0.2 application server. The presentation concluded with a discussion of best practices for packaging JEE applications followed by techniques for resolving common class loading problems such as ClassNotFoundException, or NoDefFound Errors.

The presentation was based on the consulting work conducted by Ernie, as well as other members of the IntelliObjects staff and emphasized the importance of understanding how class loading is architected by the application server vendor in order to ensure proper class manageability.
